About the Exhibition …

The students of the University of Pittsburgh Museum Studies course invite you to follow our blog documenting the process of developing and executing an art exhibition. Our show “the imprint of war: responses in print” will feature artists Jacques Callot, Nicholas Naughton, Sandow Birk, and local Pittsburgh artists Dan Buchanan, Joan Iversen Goswell, Susanne Slavick, Andrew Ellis Johnson, Delanie Jenkins, and Andrew Ames whose works in print are the reactions to wars, both historical and contemporary.

The exhibition will be presented from October 31- December 5, 2011, at the University of Pittsburgh Art Gallery in the Frick Fine Arts Building, 650 Schenley Drive, Oakland, PA.

Gallery Hours: M-F, 10AM-4PM*

Join us for a free opening reception in the University Art Gallery on Monday, October 31, 2011, from 6:30-8:30 pm to enjoy catered appetizers and a show of exceptional print work by outstanding artists.

At 7:00 PM, Susanne Slavick and Andrew Ellis Johnson will speak about their works being featured in the show.

The Gallery will be closed for Thanksgiving beginning on Wednesday November 23 and will reopen Monday November 28.
